The piano has been a rock and roll instrument since the beginning and it has held a prominent place in many classic songs. In later years the piano, despite it's size, became overshadowed by the guitars which were getting louder. Eventually piano and keyboards became so un-rock n roll that keyboard players were setup behind or under the stage at big rock shows. Thankfully there are still artists championing the piano in rock n roll and proving that keyboard instruments do indeed rock.
